How-to: Virtualisation of Reality
As part of the KIBLIX Festival, we kindly invite you to a series of online workshops entitled How-to: Virtualisation of Reality, consisting of three workshops. They will take place on Wednesdays 10, 17 and 24 November 2021 between 6 and 8 p.m. (CET). on https://kiblix.org/streaming/ and will also be available as streaming videos on social media and on the YouTube channel. We will learn about photogrammetry – digitising objects from nature, augmented reality (AR) tools and volumetric film.
Workshop 1: Photogrammetry and Mozilla Hubs
Wednesday, 10 November 2021, 6–8 p.m. (CET)
In the first workshop, we will learn basic techniques for digitising objects from nature into 3D models and displaying them in the Mozilla Hubs virtual-social world. The workshop is aimed at all media designers who want to incorporate the translation of real static environments into virtual-gallery installations, mapping of social environments, etc.
Workshop 2: AR set up as an Instagram filter
Wednesday, 17 November 2021, 6–8 p.m. (CET)
In the second workshop, we will learn about SparkAR, a software for creating Instagram filters, through which you can place your 3D models in an AR environment via your smartphone.
Workshop 3: Volumetric film – capturing images in 3D
Wednesday, 24 November 2021, 6–8 p.m. (CET)
In the third workshop we will learn about the possibilities of volumetric film capture, which are currently available on the market and how to use them.
